Apple Cheddar Scones

Ingredients
For Scones:
- Full box Scone Mix
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 apple, finely chopped
For Topping:
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
For Scones:
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Lightly grease standard baking sheet. Combine egg, milk, butter, cheddar cheese, and apple. Add mix. Stir until moistened (dough will be sticky). Place dough on floured board. Pat or roll into 8-inch circle. Cut into pie shaped wedges and place on prepared baking sheet. Optional: Glaze tops with egg wash. Bake for 13 to 15 minutes.

For Topping:
- Remove scones from oven. Cover with shredded cheddar cheese. Place back into the oven for 1 to 2 minutes while the cheese melts.
