Apple Cake Waffles

  • Makes: 10-12 Waffles

  • Tools Required: Waffle Maker, Medium Sized Bowl, Spatula, Whisk, Oven Thermometer


    • For Waffles:

      Full box Apple Cake Mix
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
    • 1 cup applesauce
    • For Topping:

    • Fresh berries
    • Maple syrup
    • Butter
    • Powdered sugar


    • Plug in waffle maker and heat to high. Lightly grease with cooking spray or butter before use.
    • Combine eggs, oil and applesauce. Add mix. Fold together, until batter is smooth (about 1 minute).
    • Pour 1/4 cup of batter into each waffle section, close firmly for 2-3 minutes, remove and cool. Use caution while removing waffles as they are not as firm as standard recipes.
    • Top with berries, maple syrup, butter and powdered sugar.
