Ingredients

    • Full box Beer Bread Mix
    • 12 oz. beer or soda water
    • 5 slices bacon - diced and cooked
    • 1 cup extra sharp cheddar cheese - shredded
    • 1/2 cup extra sharp cheddar cheese - cut in 1/4-inch cubes
    • 1/2 cup dried apples - diced
    • 1/3 cup walnuts - chopped
    • 2 tablespoons butter- melted

Directions

    • Preheat oven to 375° F. Generously butter a 9x5 loaf pan. Cook bacon in large skillet until crispy. Let drain on a paper towel. In a medium size bowl, combine cooked bacon, cheese, dried apples, walnuts, and mix. Add liquid. Quickly and firmly fold together until dry ingredients are moistened. Spread batter in pan and drizzle with melted butter. Bake for 50 to 55 minutes. Let cool 20 to 30 minutes before slicing and serving.
