Ingredients

    • For Cake

    • Full box Apple Cake Mix
    • 2 large eggs
    • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
    • 1 cup applesauce
    • 1 cup golden raisins
    • 1 cup walnuts - chopped
    • 1 tablespoon brandy
    • For Frosting

    • 1 cup butter - soften
    • 1 cup dark brown sugar
    • 2 8 oz. packages cream cheese
    • 1/2 cup maple syrup
    • 1/4 teaspoon maple extract
    • 2 cups walnuts - chopped

Directions

    • For Cake

    • Preheat oven to 350° F. Lightly grease a medium size Bundt® cake pan with butter or cooking spray. Combine eggs, oil, applesauce, and brandy in medium size bowl. Combine mix, walnuts and raisins in a separate bowl. Mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients and blend well. Pour batter into pan and bake for 55-60 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely before frosting.
    • For Frosting

    • Using an electric mixer, beat butter and sugar in medium size bowl until blended. Beat in cream cheese, maple syrup, and maple extract. Chill until slightly firm, about 20 minutes. Frost cake and sprinkle with remaining walnuts and slice.
